My Story

IMG_5626.jpg

As a kid, I always liked to draw, and paint. My grandmother painted a lot, and I just wanted to be able to create art like she could. My interest in the arts shifted to food by the time I got to high school, and I ended up at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI with aspirations to become a chef. As a result, I took the opportunity to travel overseas to cook under Chef Renato Rizzardi of La Locanda di Piero, a Michelin starred restaurant in Northern Italy. By the age of 22 after earning degrees in both culinary arts and nutrition, I became the Sous Chef of Gracie's in Providence, RI. I worked at a handful of other really good restaurants before moving on to start my own business as a personal trainer & personal chef. The restaurant industry produced life experiences for me like no other, from working under, and with James Beard Award winning chefs, to cooking at the James Beard house in NYC.

Having been into fitness, and weightlifting since the 8th grade. my nutrition degree broke me into the personal training field. Fast forward a few years, and now my wife and I have three amazing kids, and our own gym in Attleboro, MA. Now, also a full-time mason in the Bricklayers Union after a few career changes, I still find some time to focus on my artwork and maintain the passion I once had as a kid, watching my grandmother.
